A few months ago, Brad produced a series of podcasts on Teaching IT in a primary school. Subscribers to his podcasts asked him a simple question: What do you teach children when you teach tech? His answers give us some of the 'basic' skills children need to be able to do - and when. I like his approach - it's simple and succinct. With all the tech that is 'raging' around out there, it's good to focus on the essentials.
Some of what Brad speaks about applies to the US. Don't be put off, there are many other things you can use. Focus on the skill. Download the appropriate podcast that applies to you. Each one is approximately 4-5 mins long.
