Garageband is on all the iMacs at RDS. We have had some great work produced by children this year. Year 3 worked on Garageband for the first time this term. They only had 45 mins and had to add a soundtrack to a 40 second video game trailer. Quite a tall order for the first time. Here's what Sebastian and Amaar came up with.
Below is the statements for Level 5 of the National Curriculum for Music. Read the statements and listen to the music the Year 3 students have created. Their work was one 45 minute leson. where could they be at the end of a full academic year? This highlights the importance of the TOOLS that EHGAGE the students that develop/draw out the SKILLS.
As always the coaching to develop your skills around the use of such tools as Garageband is always available to you on a continuing basis. You only have to ASK!
